Your wedding rug can be a special part of your
ceremony even before your wedding day.
The first thing to remember is:
It's your day.
You choose what to do and how to do it.
And whatever you choose, it will be the perfect choice.
You may choose to have parents, grandparents,
attendants and other people special in your life to inscribe their feelings on the back of your rug, either before or after
the ceremony. You may choose to write something special to each other that only you two will know is there.
You may choose to bring your wedding rug to
the rehearsal and place it on the altar yourselves. If you have a blended family, you may want one or more of the children
to place the wedding rug on the altar prior to the ceremony to signify the beginning of a new family. If you have someone
in your life you would like to honor with a special job, placing the wedding rug on the altar is a great way to do it.
After the wedding be sure and assign someone
the job of rolling up the wedding rug and placing it back in the mailing tube. Your wedding rug, because you have chosen the
colors and patterns, will coordinate with the rest of your wedding accessories and would look beautiful on the cake table,
gift table, or placed under the guest book.
We here at Standing on Sacred Ground are very
interested in knowing how you used your wedding rug during and after the ceremony. We also would love to have pictures of
you standing on your wedding rug to feature on our website.
If you have any questions about how to use
your wedding rug, or if you would like to share your ideas, please e-mail us! We love hearing from you!
